Candy “We Built This City” 2019 roadshow in KZN & Western Cape, SA

This year CCS hosted our first Candy User Seminar Roadshow in South Africa, held in Gauteng, KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape and attracted more than 400 Users of our Candy construction project management software.

At our seminar, we focused on ways we can help you, as our customers, to do this important work more efficiently, from the initial tendering process to the final hand-off. We provided attendees with an overview of the construction project management functionality built into our software as well as the latest features. We also offered a peek into the upcoming release of Candy QTO 4, which features a fresh and more intuitive user interface, new measurement tools, the ability to upload high resolution CAD drawings, and support for MS Project and Primavera.

The presenters included Thabang Chitja, business development executive and technical manager; Marnus Janse van Rensburg, technical consultant; and Kabelo Sentsomedi, senior technical consultant. They took our Users on a journey of discovery through Candy’s most powerful concepts, as well as the new and exciting features… unearthing the untapped potential of Candy software.

The interactive technical sessions and demos featured shortcuts and user guides to improve workflow. This also included technical guides and how-to demos on pricing; master lists; sub-contractor pricing and package codes; exporting to Excel and importing to Candy; applying mark-ups and using calc panels.

We also made time for a bit of fun, with a competition in which teams were invited to build scale models of their local iconic buildings using marshmallows and wooden skewers. There was serious intent behind the game, which was to show how Candy can help construction companies with resource planning.
