The new Concourse D of the Dubai International Airport is a satellite concourse serving as an extension of concourse 1, 2 & 3. It has been designed to accommodate foreign airline carriers’ passengers at around 3000 peak passenger/hour for arrivals and departures. The terminal space and concourse areas comprise an extra 340,000sqm of floor space - twice the footprint of London Heathrow Terminal 5. The project involved 32 gates, including four code F gates (21 contact gates, 11 remote)
